The Undertakers; The Caretakers; The Risktakers

Dear Family,

This categorization describes the different kinds of people around us. It leaves no exemption as all of fall into one of the category described below.

The Undertakers: Like the meaning of their name, they manage of dead bodies. It applies in real life scenario that people manage past events. They concern themselves about past things, condemn themselves about past mistakes or celebrate their old victories. They won’t just let go the past. The people in this category live in perpetual fear

The Caretakers: Caretakers are positioned to maintain the status quos, all that matters to them is the happenings of the moment. They scratch the peripheral, polish the container and never attempt to check out the content. Worry and anxiety is the dominating factor present in the lives of people in this category thereby making God’s word in them unfruitful.

The Risktakers: They are fully aware of God’s promises and are willing to go all out to make it a personal reality. The Risktakers dare all contrary evidences and push forward to be all God’s word says they can be in life. People in this category possess the giant mentality and they have the ‘Head or Tail, I win’ attitude. The Risktakers live by their faith.

I strongly believe that God want us to be a Risk taker, He wants to live by our faith.

My Understanding About Life

My Life’s Philosophy

Life is not complex, life is very simple but it takes understanding to live life. Here are some of my understandings about life, which forms the philosophy of my life.

1. I seek to discover myself every day. I understand myself and know how I am different from other people. I know my strengths and weakness; I work on my strengths to make up for my weakness.

2. I understand my unique purpose and I have a unique style for getting it done. My style is different from others and it is peculiar to me.

3. I pursue my purpose with passion and always with a positive attitude towards life. I go for the best and the biggest, I pursue excellence in all I do and ensure to offer best practices and quality always.

4. I am not nice, I am necessary; I consciously choose my every action and take bold responsibility of my actions. I learn from, and confront the consequences of my actions.

5. I don’t compare myself with other people’s success, failure or ability. I only learn from them (their success, failure and ability). I don’t live to people praise or approval. I live to satisfy my motive and conscience.

6. I don’t get sucked and held back by my fears, my past, guilt and self-doubt. I believe in myself and I major on my abilities. I earnestly compete with myself to break my records and to exceed to limit. I always maintain a high spirit and keep a high self esteem. I take conscious and calculated risks to achieve my dream.

7. I am always in charge of my moods and constantly check my motives. I deliberately decide my response to my feelings, circumstance, situations and people.

8. I always press on with the search and strive to understand more about my world and the role I was design to play. I, by learning increase the quality of my life, at the same time hone my skills. Learning for me is a lifelong pursuit. I always position myself to acquire new and useful information.

9. I don’t take people for granted; I build excellent relationship and place value on every relationship. I do not allow anything to tamper with the wellbeing my family and my love for them, especially my wife and my children. They are my means of meaning and motivation- the proof of my purpose.

10. I place service above rewards. I see selfless service as the path to true greatness. In service, I give rather than take. Faithfulness, character and integrity are required in service.

11. God and His Word is my rationale, my reason and my richest resources. My love and faith in Him is first class. Only Him I worship and nothing competes for His place in me.

12. I know who I am in Christ and I am fully aware of the quality of the rich substance I share in Christ. I walk in the practicality of my spiritedness and I understand Love. I walk in love because I am god.

A Is For Attitude

Dear Family,

Aunty Lola was my teacher in Nursery I and II. In her bid to make me understand the fundamentals of words, its meanings and its uses, she taught me that A is for Apple, B is for Ball, C is for Cat, D is for Dog, E is for Elephant. I grew up with value for words, so I added more words to my vocabulary and got training to be a creative and correct user of words.

Time has been my good friend and I had come to realize that A is not just for Apple; ‘A is for Attitude’. In the elementary days, it was necessary to understand the rudiments of life using ‘A for Apple’, but in this day and age, it is relevant to unlearn the former knowledge and embrace the new as the basis for life. ‘A is for Attitude’.

Attitude is a conscious or subconscious response to life and its issues. Attitude is a choice and can be cultivated. It is central to success in life and critical in our spiritual odyssey. It differentiates between the giants and the grasshoppers. It set apart the children of God and the sons of God who have come to maturity. Galatians 4:1. Our attitude reflects in our thoughts, actions and words. 1Corinthians 13:11

Caleb and Joshua being conscious of God’s ability showed a different attitude to the reality of giants and got an award from God (Numbers 14:24). This proves that right attitude is essential to experiencing the fullness that exists in God. Our attitude is not necessarily good because we are born again; it is to a large extent a function of the awareness of our spiritedness and the readiness to live our newness of live.

Paul emphasised in Philippians2:5, the need to develop a mindset that aligns with Christ’s. Our attitude towards God should be faith and worship Hebrews 11:6. Our attitude to friends and family should be love Mark 12:31. Our attitude towards life’s circumstance should be the consciousness of God’s elastic capacity Romans 8:28, while our attitude toward ourselves should be the awareness of the reality of who we are and what we have in Christ. Ephesians1:17-19

Where ever you go and whatever you do, always remember that A is for Attitude.

Think With Me

Dear Family,

Think with me over the sequence that flows across my heart all the week long: Outside faith, it is impossible to please God; Outside pleasing God, we are not at peace with God; Outside being at peace with God, it is impossible to receive anything from God; Outside of God, we can do nothing and we get zero; Outside of all that God provides, we are on earth the most pitiable and life is not worth living.

You will then have the same opinion with me that Faith remains an essential resource in our spiritual adventure. If we must experience life’s good report and success, a life of faith is a prerequisite. As we all purchase to the amount of cash at your disposal, so also we obtain from God to the extent of faith. Matt 9: 29. It is the currency for spiritual exchange.

Hebrews 11:6 makes clear that anyone who wants to access God must know that he exists. Therefore, our understanding of God’s ability, capacity and proclivity forms the platform on which our faith functions. The more understanding of God’s potentials we have in our heart, the easier it becomes to believe Him and the better our lives turns.

The essence of studying to understand God through His Word and seeking revelation through fellowship with God now becomes paramount as it add up to improve our understanding thereby heightening our faith in God. You can’t quantify the volume of spiritual downloads into our heart time we study God’s Word, pray and worship.

I am aware He is alive, I have seen in His Word that He do all things, He had revealed to us the riches of His glory in Christ, I had read and understood that He rewards His diligent seekers, I am convinced of His ability and the capacity of His great power, I am persuaded that we wonders to our world. Praise God! We win always.

Anyone who has faith should consider himself blessed; he will without doubt experience the performance of God’s promises.

The Exact And The Extra

Dear Family,

Please permit me to use word “exact” to describe people who want 'just enough' of life, people who are satisfied with the moment and don’t want to take the next step. And also permit me to use the word “extra” to describe people who want more out of life, people who want addition to the contemporary usual.

The folly of the five (5) foolish virgins was because they lived their lives with exact oil and the wisdom of the other five (5) wise virgins was because they lived their lives with the extra oil. Peter, James and John were so distinct among other disciples because of their unique experience when they went extra mile with Jesus to the mount.

Everyman is born ordinary; personal life’s discoveries results in extra-ordinary men and great discoveries come by going the extra mile with God and His Word. Our God is big and full, He cannot be exhausted, so let’s go all-out to explore the different dimensions that exist in Him.

Since precious resources are not found on the surface, extra search is required to uncover them, which therefore points to the importance of digging deep beyond our modern-day standard to hit the gushers of spiritual abundance and revelation.

We gain mastery over the misery of men by taking time out to do a little beyond the normal Lagos lifestyle.

We are X-men, we are extra-ordinary and we have the capacity for global wonders.

Welcome to another encounter with the Supernatural.
